Yes, I confess, that leaf is all Melamine! We came back very late after a long road trip, and found all Indian stores in the city closed, just the day before Onam ! I guess I had a hunch on this situation coming, when I bought a couple of over sized banana leaf like dinner plates from Macy’s many months ago. Oh, yes, curries are all real!!! Thank you folks.
Neelu There is a link on the post title which will lead you to Wiki article on Onam. Yes, I made all those curries, most of those curries are simple to make. I will label those curries and include the recipes sometime soon. Thank you for the good wishes.

wow! what a wonderful virtual feast! It's mouth watering. we don't get real banana leaves here, so I guess I should try the banana leaf plate, ende kodhi theerkaan...thanks Archana. BTw, your panna cotta looks wonderful too...would be trying that out soon...thanks again.

പൂരത്തിന് അമിട്ടുപൊട്ടിയാല്‍ അതിന്റെ ഒരു പ്രകമ്പനം നില്‍ക്കുമങ്ങിനെ കുറച്ച് നേരം. അതേ പോലെയാണ് അര്‍ച്ചനയുടെ പടങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ടാല്‍ ആ ഒരു ഫീലിങ്ങ് അങ്ങിനെ നില്‍ക്കും.
