Grilled bananas laced with ghee
For JFI-Ghee



Plantains/Cooking bananas (medium ripe) - As many as you wish
Ghee - 1 tbsp for up to 5 plantains

Split bananas into half and cut each piece into two. Heat a grill pan, brush with ghee. When the grill is medium hot, keep the bananas over the grill, flat side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Brush the top with some ghee and turn it over to the other side. Grill till the pieces are cooked through (color changes to a deeper shade of yellow). Serve hot. Optional topping – honey

  3. The ingredients are basic but I believe it's the way to bring out the genuine and pure flavor! Cooked fruit is almost non-exist in Chinese cuisine, I'm learning something new everyday! Archana, I also like the way you styling the dish, very pretty indeed.

  11. by the way archana, we tried ur rasavada today and the rasam and vada was too good. so simple yet absolutely yummy.my vada turned a little hard though. any idea why?

Such a simple dish but I cant take my eyes off this beautiful picture.Btw I tried your tomato rice recipe without the cream and now this is my fav method for tomato rice. That was yummy.   19. ആഹഹ..എത്ര മനോഹരമായിട്ടാ ഒരു കഷണം പഴം വാട്ടിയതിനെ അലങ്കരിച്ചു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. പഴം വേവിക്കാന്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കൊക്കെ അറിയാം, പക്ഷെ ഇതു കുട്ടിയുടെ മാത്രം കഴിവ്. ഒരു ഗ്രില്‍ പാന്‍ കുറെനാളായി എന്റെ വിഷ് ലിസ്റ്റിലിരിക്കുന്നു. പഴത്തിന്റെ ഭംഗി കന്ടിട്ട് ഇനിയും നീട്ടിക്കൊന്ടുപോകാന്‍ വയ്യ. :)

    Welcome aboard, you will find ragi in almost all Indian grocery shops, and in some specialty flour shops. Ragi is finger millet; it is available and is used in many other parts of India.
